Another Example of Intrusive Advertising

No one likes to be disturbed, especially when they’re trying get some well-needed shut-eye. Well Sky Deutschland new broadcast ads to train passengers gets in your head–literally.

The creepiest part about the technology is that no one else can hear it as it vibrates the receivers head. The hearer is receiving the message(s) via a technology that uses something called “bone conduction.” Not unlike some directional audio in the digital signage world, the sound put off by this technology is aimed directly at a single person, but I’m positive I’m not the only one who views this type of advertising as intrusive. The comments on the included YouTube video attest to this fact.
