2012 Best of InfoComm Award goes to Visix
Visix bagged this year’s Best of InfoComm Award after the public audience and judges voted for its AxisTV Version 8.0 as the most outstanding product among the 900-plus exhibitors in the annual conference.
The company will donate the $10,000 prize it received from NEC Display Solutions—the InfoComm 2012 main sponsor—to The Hirsch Academy, an Atlanta-based organization working for children with learning differences.
“We’re honored to receive the 2012 Best of Infocomm Award from NEC and to support one of our favorite organizations in The Hirsch Academy,” Sean Matthews said, president of Visix in a press release.
AxisTV Version 8.0 is a browser-based digital signage software which includes a totally new user interface, a new background library, and a full 64-bit compatibility for Microsoft Server 2008. The redesigned interface provides a cleaner and more reliable experience in Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. It allows the user to create, manage and deliver messages, media and alerts easily.
The recognition was awarded by NEC Display Solutions president and CEO, Pierre Richer, last June 15 during the annual digital signage forum at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“The Best of InfoComm Award has grown in stature as a robust competition, and this year was no exception,” Ashley Flaska said, NEC Display Solutions vice president of marketing. “Kudos to Visix for capturing a hard-earned victory in this year’s program.”
Visix, Inc. is a Norcross, Georgia-based company founded in 1980 as Tech Electronics, Inc, and a software-centric company with a focus on digital signage solutions.
